At Resurrection Baptist Church, we exist to be a vibrant, worshiping community of believers who are spiritually disciplined and disciplining others into the family of God.  As our Pastor says, "We aren't a perfect church but we serve a perfect GOD".  No matter where you find yourself in life know that you can always walk through the doors of RBC and be welcomed, encouraged, and above all loved.

Reverend Richard L Freeman,Sr. was called to the Resurrection Baptist Church in July 2004. He was officially installed as Pastor on August 29, 2004. Pastor Freeman has a love of teaching God’s word and for helping families: gifts effectively utilized while functioning as the Pastor of Teaching at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and the Bethesda Baptist Church in Washington, DC. He also has a keen passion for establishing and rebuilding relationships. He has done multiple workshops on marital reconciliation, dating, and marital preparation. He firmly believes that a strong family is one committed to growing in the love and knowledge of God.

Pastor Freeman and his wife, first lady Debra Freeman (affectionately called Sister Debbie), have been married for over 35 years. They are the proud parents of three adult children: Richard, Jr., Joyelle, Andrew, Sr. and his wife Jamie. They are also deeply blessed with four grandchildren, Andrew, Jr, Jamison, Elliana, and Tristan.
